I have heard it could take a year to get back, I believe this, although I am not sure we are ever going to “get back”. I think we are just going to move forward.

New city rules are requiring well-needed updates like raising the levels of homes and building to hurricane level standards.

Our condo did suffer damage, but our issue is that we are having to deal with HOA since our insurance is through them. We have an HOA that isn’t willing to communicate and make decisions that the owners are questioning. Their first bad decision was waiting over two months to have our condos inspected for flood damage after we reported it the day after. The next is they hired a plumber to be a construction manager to fight with TWIA on the damage.

We mistakenly thought we were through the worse of it. Boy were we wrong! We live in a community that has 20+ condo units around, Rockport, Texas is considered a retirement community. All of those have had a plan and methods of communication and began working on their repairs a week or two after the hurricane while we still sit. The rental market is about gone since most rental homes were destroyed. Needless to say, it has been a struggle and at 85 days out, only 1/2 of the businesses are back to full service, the other 1/2 probably won’t open ever again. Our own issues became apparent this last week, we finally had our FEMA flood adjuster come in and determine we had 2″ of flood water in our home and that one area looked liked moisture was behind the wall. We had it removed to only realize our stucco wall had a big gap in it from the storm. We are some of the lucky owners around here and realize this but are still dealing with damage. We had an HOA meeting that was more like a “throw down” since the owners are so upset with the lack of communication and the decision to not have a structural engineer come in and determine the damage. As we sit and our condos literally “rot”, they want to continue to make not only bad decisions but mostly against the Texas Codes for HOA condo board members. It feels like we are being hit by the hurricane again and again. is one of the most stress-inducing activities that adult life has to offer. Not only do have to go through the process of finding your new dream home but if you are moving into a home that you plan on remodeling, you have to find a remodeling contractor and take out a home improvement loan. In addition to the financial concerns associated with a move, maybe you’ve also got other issues going on in your life like needing to hire a personal injury lawyer. Then, on top of it all, you have to pack all the belongings from your current residence! However, the stress should not be a deterrent in your pursuit for a change of scene. A change of scene is a very exciting prospect, and it is possible to amplify this excitement while diminishing the stress that comes with the task. By taking these 3 simple steps into consideration, your move will be as easy going as packing for a picnic. Make a Schedule One of the major stressors that come with an attempted move is the overbearing, omnipresent nature that the preparation takes in your everyday life. With an entire lifetime of objects to sort through, pack, and emotionally part with, the various aspects of the move will start to creep into every waking minute of your life. With no end in sight, this may turn all the excitement of the move into a cumbersome burden. This is not, however, an unavoidable fate! This stress can be easily resolved by clearly planning the time you dedicate to the move and sticking to it. Plan to dedicate a specific hour or two packing boxes. Once that time is up, stop packing! Go eat a snack, read a book, get other work done, or just do something you want to do! By strictly scheduling your moving-prep time in this way, you will make sure that the stress of the move does not take over your life. Much in the way you are sorting your things into boxes, sort your time into boxes! This will also likely help to maximize the efficiency of the time you set aside for organization and packing. 2. One Room at a Time When the 1000 pieces of a new puzzle are scattered around on the floor, the prospect of putting them all together can be incredibly daunting. However, once you find a few corner pieces and begin to put together one section at a time, the impossible task suddenly seems incredibly manageable. This is the exact mentality that should be applied to packing a house before a move. The thought of fitting every room in your house into a seemingly small collection of boxes is an incredibly stressful prospect. If you instead focus intently on packing one room at a time, accomplishing the task at hand seems like a far more reasonable reality. Decide which room you are going to dedicate time to packing. Once you make this decision, go into that room and think about that room as if it is the only room you need to pack. Although it involves a little bit of self-deceit, this small white lie that you tell your own brain allows you to see your end goal and approach it confidently. The new tangibility of the end goal will relieve great amounts of stress from the packing process and allow you more free time and clear headspace to focus on the joy of going somewhere new. 3. Yes, No, Maybe Objects have an incredibly sneaky way of accumulating over time. While it may seem harmless when you are staying stagnant in one place, the version of you that is preparing for a move is seeing the error of your past ways. From valuable objects hidden in layers of trash to junk that you have a formed a sentimental attachment to, sorting through what is coming with you and what is not can be the most emotionally trying aspects of a pending move. Of course, you don’t want to get rid of essentials like your dreamy Nectar mattress, or your fancy new Tissot watch, but do you really need that box of receipts from the last 10 years that you always kept on hand “just in case”? The stress comes from persistent overthinking, and, therefore, your stress will be greatly relieved if you give yourself permission and ability to trust your own instincts. This is a mission easier said than done. The best way to access your instinct is by making three distinct packing piles: Yes, No, and Maybe. In whatever room of the house you are in, determine which side of the room will serve as the “Yes” side, which side of the room will serve as the “No” side, and which area of the room will be the “Maybe” area. When you pick up each item in the room you are currently conquering, quickly take the object and throw it into one of the designated sides of the room. Put things like your must-have facial mask in the yes pile since you’ll still need it once you move, and put other non-essentials in the maybe or no piles. Of course, you can switch objects from one pile to another once you refine the packing process. However, this will serve to give you an excellent head start and may make it easier for you to part with some objects you would have wasted large amounts of time struggling to part with. The post How to Reduce Stress While Moving Residences appeared first on Reviews by Kathy.
["home
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/how-to-reduce-stress-while-moving-residences-6169811013
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/how-to-reduce-stress-while-moving-residences-6169811013
6166982959:14707027":
This is a sponsored post from tomoson.com, however, these are my own personal thoughts and opinions. HemRid Everyone deals with pains in their life. Back pain, knee pain, and headaches are just some of the most common. But a pain that I have been dealing with for some time now is a “rear-end” pain, or more commonly known as hemorrhoids. I noticed that while sitting one day that I was in extreme discomfort and that discomfort grew to a full on pain in my rear, literally. Hemorrhoids are when you’re your veins in your rectum flare up and become swollen. Under normal circumstances, it can happen when you strain during bowel movements but in my case, it came on after pregnancy. There’s nothing more irritating either than an itch that you can’t scratch because of the pain it causes. I tried the normal stuff of ointments, cold presses, and wet wipes but nothing seemed to relieve it fully. I really didn’t want to go to the doctor for a prescription, partially because of the money and partially because my doctor is also a close family friend, and I really didn’t want my business to be more than me, myself, and I. So, I went looking for a cost-effective, private way to deal with my personal issues and that brought me HemRid. HemRid is an average size pill that you take once a day to relieve the itching, burning, and pain that is caused by hemorrhoids. I noticed relief from the horrible effects of hemorrhoids gives in just a couple days. Not only did I find relief fast, I noticed it lasted a long time. With this pill having a longtime effect, I won’t have to stress about getting any more hemorrhoids. However, if I happen to get one I know I can find fast relief for the pain in my rear with HemRid. #hemrid The post HemRid Review appeared first on Reviews by Kathy.
["health","health reviews","healthy
"6164793389:14707027":
https://reviewsbykathy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/28117207_10155543026953155_1336078537_n-225x300.jpg
https://cdn1.blovcdn.com/bloglovin/aHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZyZXZpZXdzYnlrYXRoeS5jb20lMkZ3cC1jb250ZW50JTJGdXBsb2FkcyUyRjIwMTglMkYwMiUyRjI4MTE3MjA3XzEwMTU1NTQzMDI2OTUzMTU1XzEzMzYwNzg1Mzdfbi0yMjV4MzAwLmpwZw==?checksum=b1d7456fe378fae44c875512e9e398c52235c401&format=h
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Review Wire Media for BlindSpotz. Winter is such an exciting time for my household! I love the cold; being able to wear my pretty sweaters and scarfs, fixing hot cocoa with marshmallows for the little ones, sitting around the fire, and sitting around watching Netflix. However with winter comes a lot of expenses such as Christmas, birthdays, and anniversaries which makes the colder months also more expensive. We try to find ways we can save money. We pinch pennies every chance we can get. One of the highest expenditures is our electricity bill. Our house is a little older and we planned to have it insulated but it’s so expensive for insulation and we didn’t want to have to fix every nook and cranny. When I heard about BlindSpotz I had to check it out. They are little stickers you place by vulnerable areas in your house that you believe your warm air is leaking out. I tried putting in by my back door, in my kitchen, and my front dining room. I learned that hot air was, in fact, leaking out and already made plans to get it fixed. For $9.99 you can get a little package of Blind Spotz. Blind Spotz is a great DIY product, or for trying to just improve your home and put a little extra cash in your pocket from your electricity bill. Being able to focus on the areas that needed fixing saved more money and allowed us to focus on specific fixes which otherwise would’ve have taken a full home makeover. More money is always a good thing. The time and effort it also saved is invaluable since we are a do it yourself household. If you believe certain areas are cause you to lose your warm air due to a crack or leak, I’d highly suggest picking up some Blind Spotz, they are worth the investment. These are simple to use, put the diagnostic sensors everywhere you have an opening that may have air coming in, like outlets, doors, and windows. Then wait 48 hours to read the results by taking a picture of the sensor and emailing it to fixthecold@blindspotz.com or you could use their app. Now for the fun part here are the details for the giveaway: – The giveaway is for 3 packages of BlindSpotz to 3 different winners. For years now I have had to deal with polyps and so far four sinus surgeries. After my 4th sinus surgery, I was introduced to ways to improve my chances of continually getting infections, such as flushing my sinus cavities out daily. In doing these measures I have better managed my condition, although every now and then they do still occur. Like recently, I noticed I was beginning to get stopped up again and regardless what steps I took I was unable to stop the inevitable, another sinus infection. This week is not the best time for me to get sick, I seriously have no time to run to the doctor! I was so thrilled to find out about Amwell Medical Doctor online. I was able to jump online and within 20 minutes have a video meeting with the doctor and the best part…. have prescriptions called into my local pharmacist. Then to top it all off, I found out they take my insurance! I am super excited, I can get seen quickly, pay only my deductible and never miss a beat. I chose to use my laptop, although you can use a tablet or even your phone. I signed in, filled out the information, which was WAY shorter than all of the information you have to fill out at the doctor’s office and clicked on what services I needed. I was given a step by step instruction screen of how to download and launch the video page. After that you wait for your turn, mine only took about 15 minutes and then my visit started. The physician was thorough asking me about my prior issues then asking me all about my symptoms. I was amazed at the amount of knowledge he had and how quickly he was able to decipher if my issue was bacterial or viral. He was able to decide what I needed, send it in to be filled and give me other suggestions to what will help me get better. I will definitely be using them again, and I just so happen to be able to offer you 25% off your visits!! Whether it strikes your home or place of business, fires can leave an immeasurable amount of destruction in their wake. In addition to flames that can destroy the structure of your property, there is also the matter of issues like debris, smoke, odor and soot to deal with after a fire. Knowing what to do immediately after such a disaster can be daunting, but you must get fire damage repair services sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, a fire can strike anyone at any time. Many people are unprepared for such a horrific event. However, fires can be caused by a number of things. It’s important to be aware of the top 10 causes of fire so that you can take measures to keep your home or place of business as safe as possible. These are the 10 most common causes of fires: • Cooking Fires: When a kitchen is not properly tended to, there is more of a risk of grease splattering. In addition, when items that are combustible are placed too close to the stove or other sources of heat, it can easily lead to a fire. • Home Heating Fires: It is essential to have your home’s furnace regularly inspected and cleaned if necessary. Always avoid placing portable heaters too close to anything combustible and put them in appropriate spaces in the house. • Smoking: Smoking is one of the chief causes of fires in the home. If you smoke indoors or near your home, always ensure that you fully extinguish the butt of your cigarette or cigar. You may also want to use an ashtray and throw away the old butts. • Electrical Fires: Electrical fires can often be the most devastating. Be aware of any older extension cords that might be frayed with age. Also, avoid overloading electrical outlets and rely on power surges for major electronic devices like TV sets, DVRs, game consoles, computers and printers. • Candles: If you use candles in your home, never leave them unattended. Be aware of them at all times and be especially careful if you have small children or pets on the premises. • Children: Always keep your children away from matches and lighters. If your child is very young but old enough to reach the stove, teach him or her to stay away from it. You should also teach your kids about the dangers of playing with matches or the stove and instill in them the knowledge of the dangers of fires. • Faulty Wiring: If your home or office is an older building, the wiring may be old and in need of updating. If you own a house, replace any older wiring that may be inadequate because it can be a fire hazard. • Flammable Items: Avoid placing anything flammable, such as paint, paint thinner, turpentine, cleaning agents or adhesives, too close to any sources of heat. • Holiday Décor: Be wary of keeping your Christmas tree too close to your fireplace because it can lead to a fire. Also, ensure that you hang other holiday décor, such as a wreath, in an appropriate place and in a safe manner. • Grills: If you do grilling, only do so at a safe distance from your house. You should also avoid grilling on your porch or under awning because it can potentially cause a fire. Although fires are inevitable, it’s wise to always be prepared and to have professionals come to perform services to repair the structural damage and other effects. Inflamed sinuses can’t drain mucus properly, so they cause pain, pressure, headaches, and difficulty breathing. If you have chronic sinusitis, you may have tried multiple medications or other treatments with no luck. When medications don’t work, many doctors recommend a balloon sinuplasty. Balloon sinuplasty is a minimally-invasive procedure, so there are no incisions and no removal of bone or tissue. The treatment permanently opens up your sinuses, which lets them drain properly and makes it easier to breathe. Balloon sinuplasty is a good option for most people with chronic sinusitis. If you’re considering undergoing the procedure, you should understand how the procedure works and who can benefit from it. This will help you make an informed decision when choosing your best treatment option. How Balloon Sinuplasty Works Most people are under general anesthesia during the balloon sinuplasty procedure. Some ENT doctors perform the surgery in their office with local anesthesia. During your consultation, you and your doctor will decide on the best option for your surgery. Your doctor will use a sinus-illumination system to light up the area, which will help them with accuracy. A small balloon catheter will be inserted through your nostril and will travel to the opening of your sinus. Then, the balloon will be inflated, which will open up your blocked sinuses. Once your sinuses have opened up completely, your doctor will insert an irrigation catheter into your sinuses. This catheter will allow your doctor to clean out your sinuses with a saline solution. Then, all the fluid and mucus will be drained from your inflamed sinuses. When the balloon catheter is removed, your sinuses will stay open. The procedure gently reconfigures your nasal bone structure, which will let your sinuses drain normally. Mucus will no longer build up in your nose and cause irritation and inflammation. The entire procedure usually takes an hour or slightly longer. You won’t have to stay overnight in the hospital unless there were complications, which is rare. It takes about two days to recover and return to your normal daily activities. Some pain or sinus pressure is normal for a few days, and you can control it with acetaminophen. Your doctor will advise you not to take NSAIDS like aspirin or ibuprofen, though, because they can cause excessive bleeding. Congestion is normal while you recover, too, but you should start to breathe normally after two or three weeks. Most people don’t need repeat procedures to maintain the results. Once your sinuses are open, they’ll likely stay open. However, people with severe sinusitis may need an occasional repeat procedure to prevent the condition from coming back. Benefits of Balloon Sinuplasty For many people, balloon sinuplasty is preferable to traditional sinus surgeries. It’s approved by the FDA and can be performed on adults and children. The procedure has a very high success rate, and most people achieve permanent results with just one procedure. A balloon sinuplasty is less invasive than traditional procedures, so there’s less risk of developing complications. Your doctor doesn’t make any incisions during the procedure, so there’s a very low risk of bleeding or infection. A balloon sinuplasty won’t damage the surrounding tissue, and it won’t leave any scars. Because the surgery is minimally invasive, the recovery time is short and easy. Compared to a traditional sinus surgery, you’ll take less time off of work or off of your daily activities. You’ll also probably experience less pain and discomfort. Candidates for Balloon Sinuplasty Candidates for balloon sinuplasty experience chronic sinus infections and haven’t had luck treating the infections with medication. The sinusitis causes frustrating symptoms like headaches, congestion, coughing, and fatigue. Children and adults can both undergo a balloon sinuplasty procedure. Your doctor will make sure that you have no other medical conditions that could increase your risk of complications. However, most people with chronic sinusitis are good candidates for the procedure. There are some sinus conditions that cannot be treated with a balloon sinuplasty. If you have serious scarring in your sinuses, you probably won’t be a candidate for the procedure. Nasal polyps, which are growths along the sinuses or nasal passages, also may disqualify you from receiving a balloon sinuplasty. The surgery cannot treat ethmoid sinusitis, which is an infection of the sinuses near the bridge of the nose. Dr. Ran Rubinstein, the founder of Hudson Valley Sinus Center, is a top ENT and facial plastic surgeon in New York. He has more than 15 years of experience working with sinus disorders, cosmetic surgery, and facial reconstruction. Maybe you don’t like the size, the shape, or the general positioning of your nose. Whatever may be the case, you’ve been stuck with it for a very long time, and now you’re ready to do something about it. Have you envisioned your nose to look a certain way? Thanks to plastic surgery, you can get your rhinoplasty operation tailored to meet your own needs. Explain the Specific Changes you Want Made You know there’s something about your nose you don’t like. However, it’s important to pinpoint what exactly that is, in order to have a better chance of obtaining the results you desire. With this in mind, you should bring out a mirror and closely observe the various attributes of your nose. While doing so, you can ask yourself if your nose looks either too big or too small. Also, you’ll want to take note of its overall shape, as well as its positioning in relation to the other features on your face. When you catch sight of your nose, does it look appealing? Is the tip of it either too sharp or not sharp enough? Once you’ve given an answer to each one of these questions, you’ll be able to identify what it is about your nose that just isn’t doing it for you. This knowledge will help you explain to your surgeon how you want your nose to look after your rhinoplasty surgery is complete. It’ll give him a better understanding of what changes you want made, and he’ll be able to tailor your rhinoplasty surgery accordingly. Thus, you can be confident that your requests will be carried out as closely as possible. Show Pictures to Your Surgeon There’s another way you can get your rhinoplasty operation tailored to meet your needs. For this, you should browse through photos of different celebrities. While doing this, you’ll want to be on the lookout for famous people with nice, attractive noses. You should acquire as many photos of them as you can. However, you’ll want to make sure that each one is clear and easy to see. Preferably, there should be ones that show the nose from several, different angles. Front shots and side shots are two examples. Also, you can try to get your hands on photos that capture both the top and the bottom angles of the nose. When you meet with your surgeon, you’ll want to go out of your way to show him these. You can tell him that you want your nose to look exactly like the famous person’s nose. If you want a slight variation, however, you can use the image to help you explain where the tweaking needs to take place. Showing your surgeon pictures of the nose you want is a terrific way for him to be able to visualize the result ahead of time and put the necessary work into the procedure to make it happen. Consider Combined Surgery Did you know you can get several issues taken care of at once, by getting two different surgeries performed together? For instance, a septoplasty may be performed alongside a rhinoplasty. A septoplasty procedure will treat an irregular septum. You may have been born with one of these. Maybe you experienced a physical injury that created this problem for you. Either way, a deviated septum makes it more difficult to breathe properly. Septoplasty will correct this nuisance and enable you to breathe normally. Combining this one with rhinoplasty will give you the added bonus of having your septum re-shaped, so you’ll no longer have to struggle to breathe. Similarly, you can get a sinus surgery and rhinoplasty performed together. The former treats symptoms associated with sinus problems. These could include a stuffy nose, excessive facial pressure, and thick, discolored mucus. By having both of these procedures done at once, you’ll receive the benefits of cosmetic plastic surgery, and your sinus problems will be resolved. This will save you some time in the long run, since you won’t have to go back to get one of them done. When it comes to rhinoplasty surgery, you certainly have options. The operation will be tailored to meet your personal goals, and this can be accomplished in a few different ways. You’ve waited long enough, haven’t you? It’s time to get the nose you want, so you can start feeling confident about your looks. Dr. Philip S. Schoenfeld is a plastic surgeon, who specializes in facial cosmetic surgery. He’s double board certified in Otolaryngology. He performs rhinoplasty and other procedures in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Throughout the past several decades, the calvary of cosmetic procedures has made incredible advancements. From innovative surgical options, to non-invasive treatments, we’ve never been closer to winning the greatest war humanity has ever fought, aging. Perhaps the most powerful weapon in our arsenal is also the most advanced. Like something out of a science fiction novel, laser skin resurfacing harnesses the unique power of light to turn back the hands of time. Within every treatment session, years of skin damage is treated at the cellular level. Unlike other topical anti-aging treatments, which work from the outside-in, laser resurfacing infiltrates the cellular battlefield. Capable of rejuvenating the underlying causes of visible aging and chronic skin conditions, such as rosacea and spider veins, it’s no wonder this treatment is among the most requested procedures in cosmetic dermatology. The attraction of laser resurfacing isn’t just its mesmerizing results. Few cosmetic procedures produce such dynamic results in such a short amount of time with so little disruption to daily life. While this treatment is the express train to skin restoration, it’s not completely effortless. The first several days after this procedure determine everything from healing duration to final results. Although you’ll receive explicit post-treatment care instructions from your cosmetic practitioner, let’s take a few moments and explore what products you should avoid after laser skin resurfacing. What You’ll Experience After Treatment As the saying goes, knowledge is power. To best prepare for post-treatment care, it’s important to understand what to expect. While your experience may differ based on treatment type, skin condition and biological responses to the lasers, the vast majority of patients experience several universal symptoms. Raw (Inflamed) Skin Isolated Pain Itching Rare Side Effects Raw (Inflamed) Skin – This is the most common treatment side effect. While the severity of skin inflammation depends on the size and scope of treatment, laser light beams only affect treated areas. Typically, surrounding tissue isn’t damaged or irritated. Isolated Pain – Most patients describe the pain level similar to a noticeable sunburn. Pain is generally isolated to treatment areas. This sensation goes away little-by-little each day. However, improper post-treatment care can intensify and prolong this unsavory sensation. Itching – You’ve likely felt the itch of skin healing at some point in life. As a wound heals, the natural restoration process often stimulates a mild to severe itching sensation. This side effect is common after a deep laser resurfacing. As with any wound, avoid scratching your face at all costs. Scratching not only hinders its final results, but bacteria underneath your nails can cause a serious infection. Rare Side Effects – While not common, serious side effects are possible. If you have the herpes virus, the trauma from laser resurfacing can stimulate an outbreak. This is especially noted in areas where cold sores have previously erupted. Along with herpes reactivation, the risk of bacterial, fungal or viral infection is very real. Minimize this risk by explicitly following post-care instructions and avoiding the following skin products until fully healed. The Essential Aftercare Guide – Products You Should Avoid The days following laser resurfacing are just as important as treatment quality. Along with determining results, failure to gently care for treated areas increases your risk of potentially serious infections and other side effects. To ensure a safe recovery, and the best results, avoid these common products until fully healed. Items Washed With Scented Laundry Detergent When you think about products you should avoid after laser resurfacing, you likely think of makeup, face washes and other topical creams. While we’ll discuss those momentarily, the most notorious culprit isn’t what you’d think. Scented laundry detergent contains a vast array of chemicals and cleaning agents. While you may think these compounds are mostly washed away during the rinse cycle, think again. Harsh chemicals bury themselves in fabric, which pose a serious risk during the healing process. Before treatment, rewash all pillowcases, sheets, clothing and towels in all-natural, unscented detergent. Never use towels, or other fabrics, to touch your face that haven’t been cleansed from standard detergent residue. Tap Water Because freshly treated areas commonly feel hot, much like a sunburn, you may think spritzing your face with water is a safe alternative to ointments and creams. Unfortunately, tap water is filled with various chemicals capable of causing further irritation. Skip the tap water and cool your face with distilled or spring water. However, only apply fine mist of water during the first day after treatment. You don’t want to soak your skin as this can disrupt the delicate healing process that occurs during the first 24 hours. Standard Face Washes or Soap During the first three days, bathing or showering in hot water isn’t recommended as you need to minimize sweating during this crucial time. However, what about washing your face? Your cosmetic practitioner will inform you when you can start washing your face, but it’s generally recommended to avoid washing your face with or without cleansers for 12 to 24 hours. For the first several days, you may be directed to avoid any non-natural face wash or soap. This includes astringents, benzoyl peroxide scrubs or prescription acne solutions. Makeup of Any Kind Avoid any type of makeup during the first several days following treatment. Natural mineral powder makeup may be used once the initial healing phase is complete. Because skin can remain red for several weeks, use a greenish hue makeup to help minimize visible redness. Non-Approved Moisturizer Skin hydration is essential during the healing process. However, don’t apply moisturizers until your doctor gives the okay. When appropriate, use a gentle ointment, such as Aquaphor. Sunscreen of Any Variety Sun exposure slows healing and may result in unsavory discoloration. Avoid direct sun exposure until the skin is no longer raw. Afterwards, use gentle sunscreens or mineral powder makeup to shield skin from harmful sunlight. When going outside, wear a hat and avoid direct sunlight as often as possible. Illuminate Your Youthful Glow at Dilworth Facial Plastic Surgery Dr. Andrea Garcia and Dr. Josh Surowitz founded Dilworth Facial Plastic Surgery to offer a compassionate and collaborative cosmetic surgery solution for Charlotte residents. As the only two-surgeon collaborative clinic in the area, access to dual board certified surgeons enhances cosmetic and reconstructive options for a variety of patients. This also taught me the importance of money. Saving it, making it and especially how to spend it. After marriage and graduating college money issues were not as “tight”, but I still took those young values I learned with me and it has paid off! Here are ways I like to save money! Pic Credit Cell Phone bill – I had AT&T for years, I would call every so often and explain that I will have to cancel my account since the prices were constantly going up. It wasn’t until a blog conference that I recently found out Cricket is owned by AT&T. I did my research and found out they use the same towers and covered the same area. So I switched from a 160.00 for two lines to 100.00 for four lines. Cable bill – I hated writing the 124.00 a month check to Directv every month so I did a little research and sure enough if you call them when they have promotions and ask for it, you can cut your bill to half of what it is. I now pay around 60.00 a month. The only reason we keep it is the husbands wants the SEC channel. Filters – Changing out your air conditioner/heater filters often will help save on the electricity bill. The more clogged they are the more the air conditioner/heater will have to run. Shop wisely – When I am browsing in a boutique, I usually take a picture of the tag of something I really, really, like 99% of the time I can find it online way cheaper than in the store! Dollar Tree – This place will save you 5.00 – 10.00 a week if you shop there first. I buy all my cards and gift bags from here and every now and then you will find something on your grocery list there for a dollar!! Wash your sheets – Keeping your bed clean will help you not to get sick as much. Besides the fact that clean bed is amazing! Coupons or Sales– Check for printable or app coupons before leaving to shop, plan meals around what is for sale that week. Regardless of how great the coupon is, only buy what you will use. Bulk – Take a calculator with you, if it is a lot cheaper to buy it in bulk then do it. I love when something in bulk is on sale and I have a coupon, I stock up! Budget – Make and stay on a budget regardless!! This is important to learn, I remember weeks when I would say we are going to have a “leftover” night or let’s find a meal at the “Dollar Store”. Really what I meant is that is all we could afford but wanted it to seem like a fun activity. Staying on the budget meant getting creative. Electricity – It is important to seal off any air leaks or making sure your home is insulated to reduce the electricity bill. Intrest Rate – Negotiate those as often as possible. You will be amazed at how willing a company will be to work with you if you make payments timely. Pyramid payment – This took us several years to master but now I am happy to say we are debt free! You take your smallest bill rather if it is a 300.00 jewelry store account or 500.00 hospital account and you pay extra until it is paid and continue this until everything is paid off. We paid cash this year for my new Cadillac and it sure felt good! Savings – Regardless if you put 5.00 a week away, make sure you start and have a savings account. You need something to fall back on when you have an emergency! Education Degree – The more education you have or can receive the more you make in life, as a general rule. Try and get some type of degree even if you can only take one class a semester. There are so many grants and aids that can help you with this. Church – Most churches have a ton of really fun free activities you can do as a family. Church communities love to help out. Yard Sales – I can’t tell you how many times, my new wardrobe consisted of my latest yard sale finds. Most yard sales have clothes really reasonably priced. I clothed my children for years from yard sale finds. Garden – Plant a small garden of veggies your family likes. If you don’t have room for a garden put them in a pot, people love fresh veggies and it is a great way to give to others. Fix broken items – If there is an issue with something like a vacuum or dripping water faucet, fix it immediately. You will save money in the long run by taking care of it right away. Money saving sites – Shop sites like slickdeals.net before making online purchases to see if there are any great deal or prices. I recently found a 99.00 gift that I wanted to get my grandson for his birthday on there for 25.00 at a certain store. I was so excited!! Ebates – If you download Ebates to your dashboard every time you shop online it will pop up and tell you how much $$ you will make from the purchase not only that but it will find if there is any money saving coupons out there. I use it for every purchase and get a check in the mail!! Pic Credit These are a few of my favorite ways to save money! I am sure there are a ton more ideas and would love to hear yours!! But, have you ever thought of the reason why you can’t sleep? We don’t tend to focus on the source behind our lack of sleep, we just focus on the fact that we can’t do it! Let’s have a look at some of the surprising, yet common, reasons you can’t sleep. You Use Your Smartphone Too Much We all do it before bed. We look at what we missed on social media, we’ll catch up on the news, but lying in bed, looking at these things, we think it’s just a nice, harmless little chill out method before we drift off. But, it’s doing more damage than you think! Using your phone emits blue light, which interrupts your sleep hormone, melatonin. This means that, although you have the quantity of sleep, you don’t have the quality! And for a lot of us, who have really busy lives, we need this opportunity to catch up on our emails. The solution? Either getting a blue light filter for your phone, or a more effective solution is to wear light blocking glasses. There are suppliers like Spektrum Glasses, where you can browse their catalog online, so you still have the opportunity to do what you need to do on your smartphone, but still get that quality sleep. Smartphones are distracting us as a society, but that’s a discussion for another time! Your Bedroom Is Messy If you’ve got a bedroom where nothing is in order, or you work from your bedroom a lot, there’s no separation between your working life and your sleep time. Take the opportunity to get your bedroom in some sense of order, and it will relax your mind, and you will have a better opportunity for a good night’s sleep. You Constantly Think Following on from a messy bedroom, this does make for a messy mind, but even if you are the cleanest of people, if you overthink, you’ve got such an active brain that it’s almost impossible to switch off. There are things worth looking at in this respect, such as your diet, especially if you eat too much sugar, which makes your insulin rise, which can impact your sleep, but also, are you anxious? Anxiety is something that affects so many of us now, so think about some ways to quieten your mind down, such as meditation or mindfulness. You Have No Bedtime Routine After a long day, we go to bed and expect to fall asleep, but this isn’t the way it works! Much like when you were a child, and your parents had a little routine for you, it’s worth implementing one for yourself. Doing something relaxing like reading a non-stimulating book, having a bath, or doing something to signal that it’s time to go to bed and relax will put you in a deeper slumber. Can’t sleep? Look at these aspects and rethink your entire routine. That can happen in a matter of minutes if you don’t notice the problem straight away. So, you’d better wish that your pipes remain in perfect condition at night while you’re asleep. Many people make mistakes when dealing with a flood at home because they panic and act irrationally. That is why this article exists, and it tells you everything you need to know about the best process to follow. Use the guide below to ensure you make the right moves and return your house to an inhabitable state in the fastest way possible. Credit here Step 1: Turn your water off! The first thing you have to do when you notice a water leak is reached under your kitchen sink and turn the water off according to specialists from sites like Stack Exchange. There is a valve that you just need to turn until you block the water from your home. If you manage to do that quickly, there is a decent chance that you will protect at least some of your property. In some instances, the water tap might be located elsewhere, and so it’s sensible to take a look in advance, so you don’t waste time trying to find it in an emergency. Once you turn the water off, you can move on to step two. Step 2: Use porous materials to soak the liquid While the flooding will ruin any electrical items straight away; it’s often possible to save lots of your possessions if you act fast. Laying some porous things on the floor should help to soak up some of the liquid and prevent it from causing any more damage. Large sponges are a decent choice, but you probably won’t have enough of them to hand to make a substantial improvement. So, head up to your bedrooms and get as many duvets as possible. Place them on the floor in the flooded area until they soak up the water. You can then take the items outside and squeeze the liquid out onto your garden. Repeat the process as many times as is required. Credit here Step 3: Call a specialist plumber ASAP At the same time that you’re turning the water off and soaking the liquid with duvets; someone else in your household needs to call a plumber. Websites like the one owned by 1st Home & Commercial Services might come in handy at that point. You just have to select the type of service you require (which is plumbing in this instance,) and then use the online tool to make the arrangements. Do not make the mistake of switching your water back on until a professional has taken a look at the problem and completed some repairs. You can also read reviews online to find the best tradespeople, but you won’t have time for that in an emergency. If you follow the step-by-step guide published on this page; you should manage to limit damage and get your home back to normal as quickly as possible following an unexpected flood. Those who want to give themselves the best possible chance of success should store the number of a reputable plumber near their landline telephones. That way, you only have to pick up the receiver and give them a call. The post A Step By Step Guide To Dealing With A Flood At Home appeared first on Reviews by Kathy.
["home
191350547":"300x200
https://cdn2.blovcdn.com/bloglovin/aHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZyZXZpZXdzYnlrYXRoeS5jb20lMkZ3cC1jb250ZW50JTJGdXBsb2FkcyUyRjIwMTglMkYwMiUyRjMyNTA0Mjc5MzQyXzkxZWI2YjI0NDNfei0zMDB4MjAwLmpwZw==?checksum=189eb970ab28e2c8c2abbef27db8f53c4462fbc5&format=h
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/a-step-by-step-guide-to-dealing-with-a-flood-6150274255
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/a-step-by-step-guide-to-dealing-with-a-flood-6150274255
6149162805:14707027":
After being married to the love of my life for almost 20 years I struggle coming up with awesome ideas for gifts for my husband. This year I was so excited because I found the perfect gift, the reason I know it is so great is that it was bought with love. You see Valentine’s Day represents love, therefore, you shouldn’t put a price tag on it. Just buy something that makes them happy and is bought with love. Here are some suggestions: Love Printable Booklet These can be sweet or romantic or both, they can be silly or serious but make sure you are willing to do each one!! Family Picture or Picture of yourself Our dogs are our life, one year I took their pic and framed them. To this day, he still has this on his desk. Now that we have grands he loves pictures of them. Favorite meal and candlelight My husband is happiest when he is getting 100% complete attention from me, make it a special evening. Music Buy him few CD’s of his favorite musician, or of your romantic songs! Chocolate One of his favorite snacks is anything chocolate. Of course, these are some of my favorite ideas. You can make it special without spending a lot of money. Remember Valentine’s Day is about spending time with a loved one and not stressing over the presents! We love to do activities and stay busy. They are always wanting to try something new! I try to think of fun things to do with them, that not only will save me money but will be memorable for them. I love knowing they are going to remember doing things with their Mimi and Poppy even when they get older. Attending church functions Churches have a lot of fun activities for children. Our own church, has a children’s church monthly, kids classes and they do a pot luck after church every week. All of this is free of course and not only fun for your child but you will meet amazing people! 2. Fly a kite Children love to do anything outside, we love taking kites out and spending hours flying them. Living near a beach is great because of the breeze to help us get those kites high in the sky. 3. Go to a park I love to pack snacks, drinks and toys for our park, they will play for hours as long as we have everything we need. They could care less if we eat out as long as they are having fun, so you could even make sandwiches and have a picnic. If the weather doesn’t permit outside fun, we do a board game day and have a picnic inside! 4. Rock painting Living in Rockport, Texas, there is a group that actually goes around to parks and hides these amazing inspirational rocks all over. My grands love to spend time painting rocks for their parents, some to hide and for each other rocks. We make an adventure out of it, going around to find the perfect rock, then once we are done taking them to parks to hide. This is very inexpensive to do! 5. Fishing Having boys this is an easy one, their poppy loves to fish and takes them every chance he can to share this with them. They are now hooked (no pun intended). We can spend hours fishing, as long as they are biting. Most states don’t require children to have fishing licenses. 6. Plant a garden We plant a garden every year and the boys love to “help” little do they know they are learning so much about providing for their family and taking care of the earth. They love to work in the garden with their poppy and he gets “free” help. These are just a few things we do to spend quality time with our grandsons without spending a fortune. I would love to hear your suggestions or how you save money spending time with your loved one! The post 6 Activities to do with children that are free!! appeared first on Reviews by Kathy.
1517859039
6 Activities to do with children that are free!!
https://reviewsbykathy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/27746352_10155514757303155_412620302_o-1-1-298x300.jpg
["family","church","fishing","grandmother","grandparents","park","rock painting","rockpainting","rockport","texas
3285788563":"298x300
https://reviewsbykathy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/27746352_10155514757303155_412620302_o-1-1-298x300.jpg
https://cdn2.blovcdn.com/bloglovin/aHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZyZXZpZXdzYnlrYXRoeS5jb20lMkZ3cC1jb250ZW50JTJGdXBsb2FkcyUyRjIwMTglMkYwMiUyRjI3NzQ2MzUyXzEwMTU1NTE0NzU3MzAzMTU1XzQxMjYyMDMwMl9vLTEtMS0yOTh4MzAwLmpwZw==?checksum=ef884d9bcb70abd4e68de7758d0c5833a5399a0c&format=h
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/6-activities-to-do-with-children-that-are-6146942151
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/6-activities-to-do-with-children-that-are-6146942151
6146212071:14707027":
When your family expands you might find that the two seater convertible you bought when you were 20 just isn’t practical anymore. It can be stressful trying to find a car which is large enough for your family as well as economic on the road. The price of a large family car can be pretty steep, and because of this you can end up with a massive loan to pay back alongside all of your other bills and family costs. It can mount up so much that you question whether you can afford a car at all. But not to worry, we have some ways you can afford a car for your family without having to worry about anything… Scrappage Some car manufacturers will give you the chance to put your old car up for scrappage in return for money towards your new vehicle. This is a type of funding that has been around for years and it will make buying a new car much easier for you and your family. Simply give your car in and they will offer you up to a couple of grand for the scrappage, which you can put towards a family car of your choice. Government Grant One of the bonuses with the rise of the electric car is that the government are encouraging people to buy them. The reason for this of course is that many countries are now trying to do all they can to reduce CO2 emissions and make the world more sustainable. It means that if you find an electric family car, you could be given a government grant in order to buy it. It can cover up to 35%of the cost of the car! Part Exchanging A very popular way that people use to save money on a car is to part exchange their old vehicle. This involves essentially selling your car to the dealer in order to get a discount off the full price of a new car. Use Finance These days many people decide to use a finance deal in order to pay off their car. This means that the value of the car will be split up into a term of approximately 3-4 years, and you will pay a chunk of this each month and finish the loan with a balloon payment if you want to keep the vehicle at the end. If you don’t, you can use the value of the car to put towards a new one. Bad Credit Car Finance The idea or getting a guaranteed personal loan might be a little bit of a pipe dream if you have bad credit, however there are some schemes which you can use to buy a car even if your credit score isn’t too great. This is a great option if you have fallen a little on hard times and have a bad credit rating. It means you still have a chance to purchase and own a car for you and your family. It’s usually the one that’s the newest and the cushions haven’t been sat on for so much that it remembers you more than you’d like it to. Especially at work. You finally get that new chair and it sits great for like 3-4 months. Then you start noticing your back and bum hurting again because its no longer has the cushion to support them. I’ve been there. Working in the office 8-5 spending most of my day in a single chair, you at least want to be comfortable and not get up without hurting. Thankfully I got my soft and care cushion set to office chair back in place I enjoy sitting at. When I started using the soft and care I immediately noticed the back support. The lower back pain that came from sitting effectively on plastic was no longer there. And when I got up my rear end no longer hurt. The memory foam really makes it comfortable to sit for hours on end and not feel like that when I get up. Unlike my previous seat paddings which were usually some form of leather, the breathable material in the case keeps it so I don’t sweat the pressure that comes from sitting for long periods. The iPhone or mp3 slip on the back piece makes it easy for me to listen to my music without having the cords stretch across my hands and keyboard, interrupting my typing. And with the straps, I can clip it all together and take it with me on trips. Adding the soft and care cushions immediately upgrades any seat into that perfect feeling chair. If you’re having back and bum pains from sitting hours on end in an uncomfortable chair, I highly recommend you get soft and care cushion. Sitting down will no longer be a dreaded experience. If you take your home security seriously then it is worth thinking about the particular provisions for different times of the day, week or even year. You don’t always have to spend hours thinking about whether all of the safety measures are in place at home, just tackle each situation individually. A secure home doesn’t always mean forking out a tonne of hard earned cash either, there are a few easy methods for you to adopt during your daily routine, which will keep your house safe from unwanted guests. When You Are Out… If you are just leaving the house for a day at work you may want to consider finding a house alarm to protect your house during the day time. This site will help you to choose the best one for you, with handy reviews on the best security systems on the market. Using a noise based system, such as an alarm will be most effective for during the day as daytime noises and disturbances are highly likely to be noticed immediately. You will be able to choose a code which works for you and your family and you can choose the one which provides the best service for you. When You Are In… Always double lock your front door, even when you’re in the house. There is a growing trend for burglars attempting to boldly open front doors and stroll into innocent people’s houses. If you’re living in a friendly neighbourhood you might find it silly to be locking your door whilst you’re at home, but you never know who might be about to walk by. Take the extra precaution and avoid a shocking disturbance whilst you’re relaxing at home. Image When You Are Going Away… Obviously it is a very good idea to set an alarm if you’re going on holiday. You also need to make sure it looks like you’re still at home, to warn off any potential intruders. Set a timer for a lamp which will turn on and off during the evenings. Also, ask a trusted neighbour or family member to check on your house each day. Ensure your mail gets posted through your door fully and your trash bins get taken in. If it looks like you’re on holiday you will be more vulnerable to a burglary, so try and fool them with these nifty tricks. So take into consideration what type of protection your home needs at every given time. Most homes are targeted when it is vacant and looks completely unlived in, so take the time to protect your house when it is particularly vulnerable. It is likely that you will be quite safe when you are relaxing in your abode, but don’t forget to carry out those little tasks which will make you and your family feel completely safe from harm at any time of day. The post Savvy and Safe: How To Warn Off Home Intruders appeared first on Reviews by Kathy.
["home
1538663034":"300x169
https://cdn3.blovcdn.com/bloglovin/aHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZyZXZpZXdzYnlrYXRoeS5jb20lMkZ3cC1jb250ZW50JTJGdXBsb2FkcyUyRjIwMTglMkYwMSUyRnBleGVscy1waG90by0xNDM5OTktMzAweDE2OS5qcGVn?checksum=144b26a8fb39b78093c002c5eaf3b0d53ae27ae0&format=h
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/savvy-safe-how-to-warn-off-home-intruders-6133169285
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/savvy-safe-how-to-warn-off-home-intruders-6133169285
6132645187:14707027":
  Living in South Texas you wouldn’t think the cold weather would be an issue, but this year has been crazy. However, there are thousands of people facing that very problem right now. Once you’ve gotten over the initial shock (and that may take some time) how do you make their goodbye as peaceful as it can be? Pic Link Make their care the very best When you know that someone is heading towards the end of their life, normal healthcare services don’t cut it as much. Our current healthcare system can be a stressor as often as it can be a relief. Palliative care is a relatively recent idea and palliative health centers take the approach of focusing 100% of their energy towards making their patients more comfortable and addressing some of the symptoms common during end-of-life. Otherwise, you may want to think about hiring a carer for your loved one. Give them as little to do as possible If you’re loved one is staying in their home, then there is a lot that you can do to help them cope with managing their household and caring for themselves. For instance, it’s worth thinking about hiring a cleaner or a gardener if you don’t have the time to spare yourself. You still have your responsibilities, after all. Just make sure you consult your loved one before you make any decisions. If they are active enough, they may feel like the idea of doing their own housework for as long as they can is their means of expressing their independence. Pic Link Help them prepare Similarly, take care when approaching the subject of the admin that has to be done before we die. Once you’ve both come to terms (as much as you can) in the short-term, open by asking about any last wishes they have, including preferred funeral arrangements. If they’re receptive to your help, you can ask if they need any help setting their affairs in order. It might include helping them set up a will with an attorney, assigning power of attorney for healthcare, and other estate planning steps that can clear up a lot of confusion in the aftermath of a death. Be a loved one, not a carer There’s a reason that hiring a cleaner or carer if you can afford it is recommended over offering to do it yourself. You want to be there for them as a loved one. If all of your time with them is taken up by busying around them, they can start to feel like they are a burden on you or might even resent getting little time away from you. No matter how you help them, ensure that you are spending time with them, too. It can help both of you deal with the anticipatory grief. Beyond the tips above, make sure you take care of yourself. It’s going to be an incredibly emotional time for everyone involved and you need to find your own release to help you cope. You’re not going to be much help if you’re not helping yourself, too. A family home should be one of the safest places so that all of your relatives and belongings are safe and sound. The security in your home should be so good that you can have some peace of mind about the safety of your home and belongings even when there is no one home. However, Even though most families think that their homes are as safe as anything, there are actually some very common mistakes being made with home security. So, you think your home is as safe as it can be? Make sure you’re not committing one of these mistakes. Doing It On The Cheap One thing is for sure, your home security should be an investment. And that means that you can’t do it on the cheap. Sure, there will be some cheap CCTV cameras and burglar alarms that you can buy, but they won’t be as good as the ones that cost slightly more. If you want to know which are the best alarms to check out, it’s worth doing plenty of research online. Generally speaking, it’s always best to pay slightly above the average price so that you can protect your home with a top-quality piece of kit. Too Many Spare Keys If you own your own home, there is no limit to the number of spare keys that you can have cut. Most families cut enough so that every child can have one. This is a great way to ensure that no one gets locked out, but it’s not a good idea when it comes to home security. The more copies of keys there are out in the world, the bigger the chance that someone might lose a key and someone might try and get into your home with it when they find it. So, rather than using traditional keys, why not install a key code lock onto your front door. Then just give out the code for the door to your nearest and dearest. Pexels Failing To Secure Outdoor Buildings So, your home is secure, but how about your garden shed and garage? Lots of families often forget to ensure these are secure as possible and then they are always shocked when they find that they have been burgled. The moral of the story, then, is that you should always make sure your outdoor buildings are as secure as your main property. Forgetting About The Upper Floors It’s not just outdoor buildings that most people forget about. There are lots of people who neglect the security on their upper floors in their homes as well. That’s usually because they don’t think anyone will try and enter through the top windows. But if a burglar thinks that a window isn’t locked, they will certainly try and get in no matter how high up it is! Make sure you don’t make these mistakes so that your risk of burglary remains as low as possible!
["home
2939452300":"200x300
https://cdn2.blovcdn.com/bloglovin/aHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZyZXZpZXdzYnlrYXRoeS5jb20lMkZ3cC1jb250ZW50JTJGdXBsb2FkcyUyRjIwMTglMkYwMSUyRnBleGVscy1waG90by04MDQ2NzAtMjAweDMwMC5wbmc=?checksum=5c7616664c44c27c62ac8dbc35b8697a7aee15a8&format=h
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/common-home-security-mistakes-most-families-6119256945
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/common-home-security-mistakes-most-families-6119256945
6114917453:14707027":
I’ve read tons of articles and basically had it pounded in my head how horrible traditional smoking is for you. Having been a casual smoker for some years, when vaping offered an alternative that could fill my nicotine craving while the overall long-term effects were far more positive than the traditional cigarette, I jumped at the chance. At first the gimmick of it was cool. Here I was in public vaping and I didn’t have people glaring at me for smoking near them for fear of second hand smoke, and I could even smoke indoors in certain areas for a while. Plus, you had all these various neat tasting flavors: cotton candy, blue raspberry, even pancakes and syrup. But as all gimmicks, eventually I started to lose interest in actually vaping because I was craving for the true-blue taste of a cigarette and the tobacco in it. In an attempt not fall back to cancer sticks I looked for an alternative that could satisfy this craving. Black Note E-Liquids was my solution with a line of tobacco e-liquid that actually tastes like tobacco. It’s great, now I can continue my cigarette-free life while still satisfying the craving that causes me to want to go back. The juice also smokes like a premium juice although it has a 50/50 of VG/PG. It smokes smooth with almost no kick, just a nice tobacco flavor. Through their process of filtration and manufacturing they’ve gotten the true flavor of tobacco and you can try all kinds of different flavors of tobacco so you won’t get burnt out on a single flavor. You can try multiple flavors to find one you like and return those you don’t. Transactions are easy and you get the juices in just a couple days. I’d highly recommend giving Black Note a try if you’re an avid vapor and are looking for something to fill that tobacco flavor craving or if you’re just looking for something different. It is hard to stick to a strict one for various different factors. One of them being the temptation that is all around us. But there are some foods out there that are really going to revolutionize your diet. All you need to do is get into a bit more of a healthy routine, and you’re away. Some of the food aren’t even ones you would have considered to have health benefits. Others are ones you need to open up your options to and give it a whirl. At the end of the day, you want to try and keep your body as healthy as possible, so you might as well do it through food! Image Source Garlic This is going to come as quite a shock to you all, but garlic actually has so many more health benefits than you might have thought. It isn’t just something you put in your dishes to make them taste yummy. One of the main benefits of it being it has plenty of vitamins and minerals in it, without having too many calories! It has also been well known to fight off the dreaded cold. With the weather we’re having at the minute, we need all the garlic we can get! For more benefits, just check out HealthyOne.org. But when it comes to putting it in food, it really does taste amazing. Meatballs and pasta are a nutritious meal that garlic complements perfectly. There are plenty of recipes online for you to follow, but just make sure you’re using brown pasta rather than white if you want to keep things healthy. Avocados Avocados have grown in popularity over the last year or so. They’re no so popular with health fanatics that you can find them in nearly every menu in every restaurant you’ll enter into. But you either love them, or just really don’t like them. The only downside to avocados is that they don’t really have much of a taste, but if you mix them with other foods they really do taste amazing. For example, a smashed avocado bagel, with finely diced onion and tomato mixed in, add some basil for a little bit of extra flavouring, and then a poached egg and some salmon, and you’re in for a culinary treat. It really isn’t that hard to make, and it is such a nutritious meal. One of the main benefits of this food is that it contains a ton of potassium, as well as other vitamins and minerals. Chia Seeds To finish things off, we’ll add a little fiber into your diet. Chia seeds are so nutritious in other ways, but their main benefit is that around an ounce of chia seeds contains around 11 grams of fiber. That is such a large, yet healthy amount to have. It also contains calcium as well as other various goodies you might like. You can even put them into pudding if you’d rather! Just check out these cool recipes for ideas.
["kitchen reviews","recipes
751464229":"300x200
https://cdn3.blovcdn.com/bloglovin/aHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZyZXZpZXdzYnlrYXRoeS5jb20lMkZ3cC1jb250ZW50JTJGdXBsb2FkcyUyRjIwMTglMkYwMSUyRnBleGVscy1waG90by01NjY1NjYtMzAweDIwMC5qcGVn?checksum=ce5e9ac1cd4369baa9a33e9a242a11d2d0ff1737&format=h
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/foods-that-will-revolutionize-your-diet-6109783777
https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/reviews-by-kathy-14707027/foods-that-will-revolutionize-your-diet-6109783777
6108652813:14707027":
I live in South Texas and this has been the craziest weather I have ever seen. I have tried many diapers bags out but the Room Decorated Diaper Bag is by far the greatest diaper bag I have tried. With my obsession making sure I have everything I like to fill my diaper bags to the rim; the diaper bags can become filled fast. With the room decorated diaper bag being such a great material, I am able to be confident it will not rip and will be able to hold everything I put in there. I am able to use this bag for my “daytime” trips and my “night time” trips which I love since I don’t have to switch bags all the times. Now let’s get to the facts. It is a tan color with brown and white designs making it color neutral, perfect for a boy, girl or both!! One of my favorites, if not the best thing about this product is the waterproof capabilities. It is made with a high-quality Oxford fabric causing the diaper bag to be water resistant. I’m not saying throw this diaper bag in the pool when you are swimming, but don’t be afraid if the bottle sippy cup spills on it. After all, this is the place where you get to spend magical moments with your family while it’s a place for personal relaxation too. As such, boosting the atmosphere in the room will improve your relationship with the entire home. In truth, the living room provides the most daunting of single upgrade tasks. However, a sense of good organization will enable you to overcome those hurdles to unlock the room’s full potential. Here’s how. Source: Work Your Way Up The first steps are the most challenging in any home design project, and the living room transformation is no different. You could spend ages looking for starting points, but the best option is to rejuvenate the flooring. Many homeowners worry about the costs of this task, but there are ways to keep those expenses down. Floor refinishing involves sanding the floors to bare wood before sanding and adding the finishing coats. Alternative, if your lounge has a carpet, then an industrial cleaner may save the need for replacement. Then again, when the floor has seen better days, you may still need to seek a new solution. Rugs and other accessories can be utilized to bring extra character and charm. Either way, the flooring can set a positive tone for the entire room. Furthermore, you should find that it provides direction when making the additional design choices. Create Extra Space Living room space should be designed for exactly that. In order to let this happen, you must ensure that the space is utilized in the best possible manner. Ultimately, when it comes to living room perceptions, bigger is better. Getting rid of bulky furniture, especially wide ones will claw back valuable floor space. For example, removing a TV unit and mounting the television will work wonders. Choose a multi-position bracket and you’ll have greater versatility. This is particularly useful if you use it for yoga or gaming in addition to standard television. Meanwhile, shelving can be used to display ornaments and family possessions without eating away at the floor space. Source: Hidden storage via ottomans, door hooks, and retractable furniture will also make a big impact. When there’s more room to play with, the opportunities instantly become far greater. Go Smart Technology plays a huge role in our daily lives, particularly at home. The living room is one space that should certainly look to utilise the latest features. In truth, the possibilities have increased at a rapid rate over the past decade or so. This guide to turning a dumb home into a smart one will point you in the right direction. In many cases, it won’t just make the lounge look better. It’ll additionally result in reduced costs and a greater sense of security. Or if you don’t wish to make those changes, simple additions like digital photo frames can inject an increased sense of personality to the room. This is something all homeowners should prioritize. Many of those bigger additions will actively increase the home’s property. Furthermore, being ahead of the curve today ensures that you won’t get left behind in the next few years. This means you can enjoy the new lounge for far longer. Opt For Light Colors There are no set rules for how you should set out the interior design of the home. However, it’s very difficult to embrace the concept of a living room when the atmosphere has been dampened due to dark tones. After all, those color schemes set the vibe for the whole room. Source: Choosing light schemes such as white or lighter woods makes the living room brighter both literally and figuratively. Besides, this also gives you the best chance of drawing attention to the defining elements such as fireplaces or feature walls. Encourage natural light by choosing the right window dressings too, and you’ll be amazed at the impact it brings. If privacy is an issue, translucent films can solve those issues. The electrical lighting is vital for setting the right atmosphere too. Install a dimmer switch, and you’ll enjoy a far greater sense of control. Again, it can have a positive impact on the value while this is an opportunity to choose greener energy. Plan Furniture Placements Ensuring that the walls, lighting, and color schemes are in great condition sets the perfect foundations. But the room is just a shell until you add the furniture. Shelving, TVs, and wall art can all provide direction. Ultimately, though, the furniture should encourage conversation. The exact layout of the furniture will be largely determined by the shape and size of the room. Corner sofas are a great way to provide ample seating in a comfortable manner without losing too much space. Meanwhile, adding an armchair can encourage even greater communication between family members. If all else fails, giant bean bags offer a solution that can be stored in a cupboard when out of use. Source: If the living room doubles up as a dining room, it’s often best to position the table out of sight when seated. By splitting the room in this manner, you keep the coziness without losing the function that’s required. Add Curb Appeal It might not strictly fall into the category of upgrading the lounge, but adding curb appeal to the front of the property will boost the atmosphere. Simply looking out of the window to see a more beautiful sight is sure to put you in a happier mood. Adding flowers and keeping the grass in good condition can have a telling impact. Likewise, driveways and gates deserve an extra sense of attention. Meanwhile, painting the external window ledges can have a hugely positive impact. This is a great excuse to paint the property too, although you won’t necessarily see those benefits when in the lounge. This is very much a final touch. Still, when combined with a positive internal transformation, the dream of a perfect living room space will become a reality. One of the most important things to be successful and successes in life is to be organized. I enjoy knowing where everything it at, knowing everything looks nice and I feel as if I sleep better at night knowing I am prepared for what is thrown at me. This is one of the reasons why I LOVE the Premium Car Truck Organizer. It fits perfectly in the back of my car, and it’s a perfect size. I can fit folders and binders for my work, have enough room for my first aid kit, and anything extra I will need for the day. This truck organizer costs only $19.95 and it has a lifetime warranty. It is made from some of the best material for storage. It can hold up to 100 lbs causing it not to tear, rip, or break easily. I love how I do not have to worry about what I put in here! With work being hectic sometimes I need to travel with a lot of binders and folders but having this organizer I’m confident that it will not spill, or tip over causing a big mess. Now I am not the best driver, sometimes taking the curves a little sharper than I should (but who doesn’t?) and I have never seen this car-truck organizer slide or fall over. It has these amazing anti-slip grips that help with sliding making sure everything you have in the organizer stays put. Being very flexible its easy to fit into smaller trucks. You can fold up one side if it is too long for your car, making it shorter. If you need to move stuff into your trunk it is easy to maneuver around making space for whatever else you needed. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great product to stay organized!!
